The Women's Council represents Professional Women in the Building Industry. Many different fields are represented in this powerful network of members: utilities, finance, builders, lighting, flooring, and home fixtures & accessories. The Council has a well-established College
Scholarship Program for students who are pursuing a career in the home-building
industry. This scholarship is open to all
employees and family members of the HBAC membership. The council hosts several networking events throughout the
year including regular Luncheon Meetings and a Bunko Night. New in 2011, the Dollars for Scholars
cocktail event is another networking opportunity, and it raises funds for
our scholarship program.
Our Annual Fashion Show & Silent Auction is our biggest event of the year. The proceeds benefit the
Women’s Council Scholarship Fund. We provide regular support to the Florence Crittenton Services of North Carolina through our annual
Christmas Stocking Event and yearly food drive. Membership in this council is a way for you to show support for your community, as well as the building industry. It also provides YOU with networking opportunities, industry recognition, and a number of ways to promote your business. Membership is open to ANY current HBAC member -- applications available online.
