When the HBAC recieves your application we will invoice you for Membership Dues. New Member Applicants, who are paid in full, will be approved at the monthly HBAC Board of Directors meeting.

Non-Deductibility of Lobbying Expense Portion of 2007 HBAC Dues
Dues paid by Builder and Associate Members to the Home Builders Association of Charlotte (HBAC) are not tax deductible as charitable contributions for income tax purposes. However, they may be tax deductible as ordinary and necessary business expenses subject to restrictions imposed as a result of association lobbying activities. The HBAC estimates that the non-deductible portion of your 2007 dues – the portion which is allocable to lobbying by the HBAC, NCHBA and NAHB - is 34%, or $147.40.

Attention Builder Member Applicants: You will be assessed quarterly for each building permit issued to your company in Mecklenburg County.

Assessment Rates:
This verifies that as a Builder Member I understand that I will be assessed the following for each dwelling unit built in Mecklenburg County during the 12 month period.

$10.00 per single-family detached unit
$9.00 per town-home or multifamily unit built for sale
$8.00 per multifamily unit built for rental purposes.
